I found NSE & BSE EOD downloader to be extremely fast, simple and stable and I consider it as the best if one is interested in NSE quotes only. ( GetBhavCopy by Hemen is probably the other choice if one is interested in BSE quotes also)
I wished that NSE & BSE EOD Downloader (v3.0) may add a few more features as posted at:
