Bombay stock exchange is the first Indian Exchange to integrate their currency derivative Instruments with Metatrader 5 platform. Bombay Stock Exchange is the oldest stock exchange in Asia with a rich heritage, now supports demo access with Metatrader 5 platform. User can now Open an demo account on the MetaQuotes-BSE-Demo server and start receiving realtime quotes and charts of BSE Currency derivatives. The most interesting part is, you can apply technical analysis tools and perform back-testing using the exchange’s historical price data.
Definitely it is a welcoming move from BSE to integrate their BSE Currency futures and options instruments with metatrader 5, which brings better trading platform into Indian Markets. Also Metatrader (Metaquotes) is widely popular for their MQL trading community and algorithmic trading platform in forex markets. Hopefully sooner BSE will add their BSE stocks and BSE stock derivatives into Metatrader 5 platform.
Commenting on this development Mr. Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD & CEO of BSE said, “After the successful integration of currency segments with MetaTrader 5, we will be extremely happy and excited to integrate more BSE finance instruments with MetaTrader 5. I am sure this is an important and long-awaited development for the Indian community of traders and investors.”

For USDINR, what about spread and leverage? Demo allow 1:500 time leverage.
Thats in demo environment. I guess once the broker started providing in real environment people will get the right leverage.
Hope NSE also provides such data for NSE Cash & Futures
That will be the biggest game changer for small traders!
any broker that provide mt5 in india in coming days?
not sure how many brokers will be able to afford MT5 license cost and the overhead cost attached with it. But definitely some brokers might show interest to tap the market.
I think Sharekhan can easily afford to offer Metatrader 5 platform as it is owned by BNP Paribas. Bnp Paribas will be investing 70 million euros in Sharekhan to upgrade the services.
