Ping your Blog to Search Engines

1 min read

Hi Bloggers,

Would you like to notify your recent post to Search Engines like(Yahoo,Google,Bing) and Bloger Directories like(BlogStreet, Newsvine, Bloglines…etc). In blogging, ping is an XML-RPC-based push mechanism by which a weblog notifies a Search Engines/RSS Blog Directories that its your content has been updated recently.

If you are a blogger.com user then you could ping manually using the ping-o-matic search engine notifier. And every Blog Web Directories will use their own pinging service. By pinging to those servers you could nofity their directories that your content has been updated recently which will drive more web traffic from those web directories and search engines. If you are a wordpress user then you could ping to the Search Engines and Web Directories automatically. Following are the list of XML-RPC ping server links. To add these links just copy those links from here and then login into your wordpress admin panel and goto Settings->Writings and in the update services text box just paste those XML-RPC links. Thats it! So whenever you are posting something or updating your older post it will nofity those services and now you will be able to attract better traffic to your websites/Blogs
