Participation OI – Free EOD Downloader for Amibroker

Participation OI is a free and simple lightweight EOD Participation data downloader for Amibroker. It downloads Equity derivatives (index & stocks participation) data and updates to Amibroker software automatically in a time series format.

Generally, Exchange classifies Participation into 4 categories (Client, FII, DII, Pro). It provides more insights about how the participation got positioned for this series so that you can adapt better trading strategies for any given month.

Requirements
1)Windows XP, 7 , 8 or 10
2)Amibroker (Trial/Licensed) 5.5 or above

Steps into Install Participation OI

1)Download Participation OI downloader, unzip it and install the same.

2)Download Participant OI Amibroker Database. Unzip it and copy the folder and move it to your Amibroker Installation folder.

3)Download Participation. Unzip it and copy the folder to Amibroker/Formulas Folder

4)Open Amibroker and goto File->Open Database and select Participant OI database. (Gives you historical access to database from 2012 onwards.

5)Apply the required Participation OI – AFLs which helps to plot the appropriate datasets. Right-click over the charts and goto parameters to get the required dataset charts.

4)Open Participation OI Application

5)Goto Settings tab and select the Participation OI Amibroker database path from Amibroker Installation path.

6)Select the From and To dates and press download button. Participation OI database gets updated automatically.

7)Bingo! you are done.

  1. Managed to get these things in Amibroker. Can you help with interpretation? I have some fair idea but the above participation data with Nifty/BnF seems interesting

  2. I tried in latest Amibroker 6.35 64bit version, i have the data only till May 2018, the downloader is not working, probably because recently NSE changed their website URL to www1.nseindia.com and made existing url to open new website.
