1 min read

SEBI’s long back mandated Brokers/Mutual Funds distributors to personally verify their clients, a process known as in-person verification (IPV). Stock Brokers and MF Distributors were facing lots of difficulties in performing IPV of outstation clients. Most of the time spent in educating the customers (especially the one who want to enroll as a new client) about Installing Skype/Teamviewer kind of products to access the Clients Web Camera which is mandatory to do IPV for outstation clients(To verify client pancard, address verification in short in-person Verification).

  1. Already Webrtc is popular. Indusindbank is using and advertising in tv. Customer support for almost any service or manufacturer is very useful. Trend change when 4g will come and become cheaper will be defacto standard.

    1. Yeh Agree. But there are people in remote locations who run for help to install teamviewer or skype in their Desktop/Laptop to do In Person Verfication. Such problem could be solved and it requires a normal internet connection to do. Ofcouse the engagement will get mordenize when the Internet connection gets faster and faster.
